The Mammoth team was out in force at the 20th Rugby Players Association (RPA) Awards, which were held at Battersea Evolution in London earlier this month.
One of the highlights of the annual rugby calendar, we joined some of the biggest names in rugby at the star-studded event, which celebrates the past season and the outstanding achievements of the professional players at the highest levels.
Mammoth hosted two tables at the event with a total of 18 invited guests, including representatives from British Rowing, a number of our customers and staff. As well as the thousands of pounds our tables raised collectively on the night, we also donated one of our best-selling mattresses to the event’s silent auction, in aid of the RPA’s official charity Restart Rugby, which supports professional players forced to retire through illness or injury.
As the go-to mattress provider for the sporting industry, we have an exclusive partnership with the RPA, where we support rugby players with sleep and wellness advice, education and welfare support to professional rugby players across the country. Many top players sleep on a Mammoth mattress and benefit from our innovative sleep technology, Medical Grade™ Foam.
Our Founder and Managing Director, John Tuton, said: “As close partners with the Rugby Players’ Association, we were delighted to be in attendance at the awards and lend our support to Restart Rugby, which is such a worthwhile cause.
“Rugby players train incredibly hard to be at the top of their game and give everything on the pitch and it’s our role to help them off the pitch and ensure they get the best possible night’s sleep. As the go-to mattress provider for the sporting industry, we know that sleep really is the foundation for health and recovery and it’s great to work so closely with an organisation which values its all-round importance.
“It was fantastic to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the sports top professionals at the event and help raise funds for such a worthy cause.”
The RPA Players’ Awards 2018, in association with England Rugby, was held on Wednesday 9 May at Battersea Evolution, London.
